Parking & Camping...
If you've purchased a FULL WEEKEND TICKET your ticket price includes access to the camping fields. As you enter the camping area you are presented with an option. Being a family festival suitable for all ages, we have designated FAMILY CAMPING, QUIET CAMPING or GENERAL CAMPING... FAMILY CAMPING is recommended for those of you with small children that want less noise in the evenings, QUIET CAMPING is, well, quiet and a distance from the main arena. GENERAL CAMPING is for the rest of the site.
There are parking facilities on site for day ticket or weekend arena pass holders. If you don't have a camping ticket you will have NO access to the campsites. Any person found to be on the campsite without a valid wristband will be asked to leave the site and may not be allowed entry.
Unlike the majority of festivals, we allow you to park by your tent. This allows you to keep your valuables locked in your car when you are away from your tent. Please do not leave valuables unattended in your camping area.
SUNSHINE FESTIVAL IS AN ALL-AGES FESTIVAL, HOWEVER, UNDER 18'S MUST BE UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF RESPONSIBLE ADULTS.
Q: When does the campsite open?
A: The campsite opens at 9am on Friday 23rd August 2019 for Full Weekend WIth Camping tickets holders. If you've purchased the Thursday arrival add-on, you may arrive between 2pm-10pm on Thursday 22nd August.
Q: I have already bought tickets online, but I have not received them, should I be concerned?
A: If you purchase your ticket online we now send you an 'e-ticket' which is attached to an email sent out after you make your purchase. If you do not receive this email please make sure you check your spam email too. If you have lost the email or deleted it by mistake you can log back into your ThatsTheTickets account at anytime to reprint your invoice, bring that with you to the site.
If you've any questions about your tickets please do not hesitate to contact us using the contact box at the bottom of this page or on our facebook page
Q: I've bought tickets by cheque but not received them, yet my payment has been processed?
A: We do not send our cheque tickets until the beginning of July. Your cheque being processed means your tickets are secured.
Q: Which ticket do I buy if I have a caravan, campervan or motorhome?
A: Full weekend including camping - this includes caravans, campervans or motorhomes at no extra charge. Enjoy!
Q: My super-duper motorhome needs an electric supply for all my creature comforts. Are there electric hook-ups for campers?
A: We don't have any electric hook-ups for campers unfortunately. Also, generators are not allowed in the camping area.
Q: Are there toilets & showers in the campsite?
A: Yes, we have ample toilets and hot showers in all our camping areas and in the main arena respectively. We also have disabled facilities in both areas too.
Q: Do you have a separate area for caravans, campervans or motorhomes?
A: Yes and No, there is some limited space for caravans, campervans or motorhomes but as there has been high demand for customers with caravans, campervans or motorhomes to camp next to their friends in tents, all camping will be in the camping area. Please note: we request that you be respectful to your neighbours, there will be plenty of room, so there is no need to cross over guide ropes or block anyone in. Thanks!
Q:Can I take my own food & alcohol into the arena?
A: Like all major festivals, you are not permitted to take your own alcohol or food into the arena. You are permitted to have your own alcohol on the campsite.
Q: Is the food & drink a reasonable price for 2019?
A: Yes! 2018 sees the further development of our independent food village. Each trader has been carefully selected to ensure a great selection of cuisines. All prices have been checked and are very good for the quality of what's on offer. Our bars, are now sponsored by Westons, Wye Valley, Global Wines & OJ Rum and offer a great range of beers, ciders, spirits and more... All at national pub prices, no more inflated festival prices (£6/£7 a pint).
Q: When does the box office open?
A: The box office opens at 9am on Friday 23rd August. Simply bring your e-tickets, or any other ticket to the box office to receive your wristbands.
Q: What age is considered a child to gain free entrance?
A: Children 9 years or under will gain free entrance to Sunshine Festival but a ticket must be purchased. A: You may have BBQ's in the camping area ONLY. BBQ's must be attended at all times and anyone seen acting irresponsibly with any BBQ will be asked to leave the site and not allowed re-admittance. BBQ's must be kept off the ground as not to damage the meadows.
