It’s that time again… time to start planning your Sunshine Festival fancy dress outfits!

Fancy dress has become one of the most-loved parts of the festival weekend, and every year we are amazed by the effort, imagination and creativity people bring with them. From full family costumes to hand-made outfits, glitter, face paint, wigs, props and plenty of brilliant surprises, it is always one of the highlights of the weekend.

This year, we have four fantastic themes for you to get stuck into:

Thursday – Decades

Take us back in time! Whether you are going full 60s flower power, 70s disco, 80s neon, 90s Britpop or noughties nostalgia, Thursday is your chance to celebrate your favourite era in style.

Saturday – Heroes

From DC to Marvel, from firefighters to nurses, from sporting legends to family heroes, Saturday is all about showing us what being a hero means to you. Capes are welcome, but not compulsory!

Friday – Animals

Go wild for Friday! From jungle creatures and farmyard favourites to birds, bugs, pets, predators and mythical beasts, we want to see your best animal-inspired creations.

Sunday – 90s

Sunday is going back to the 90s! Think Britpop, girl power, boy bands, rave culture, shell suits, bucket hats, double denim, classic TV characters and all the nostalgic fun of the decade.

We’ll be picking the best dressed from the crowd and inviting our winners up onto the Westons Stage.
