This creative wonderland is open to all ages, offering an incredible variety of hands-on workshops throughout the weekend—totally FREE, with all materials provided! Whether you’re painting, sculpting, crafting, or experimenting with new artistic techniques, this is your chance to let your imagination run wild! 🎭🎨

Right next to the Arts & Crafts Tent, we’re unveiling our brand-new Graffiti Wall! 🖌️🎨 Bring your boldest ideas, grab some paint, and make your mark on this ever-evolving masterpiece. The best part? Your artwork could be on display for years to come!

Introducing the NEW KIDS ARTS AREA

A space for children & families to explore exciting art and craft activities & workshops within the festival environment that is safe, fun, friendly and creative. We will be offering a jam-packed itinerary of fabulous free ‘make and take’ activities as well as the very popular large-scale collaborative mural project based on the ‘Sunshine Festival’ Theme. We also bring along lots of colourful decorations to make sure our area is welcoming and fun! Being environmentally conscious, we use as many recycled materials as possible.

A world of creativity at the Sunshine Festival

All activities are carefully prepared and supervised by Gail Hanks. An experienced graphic designer and illustrator with over 30 years’ experience in the design, advertising and illustration industry. As well as experience of hosting children’s arts and crafts workshops and activities at festivals, events and parties. I have an absolute love and passion for the creative arts and working with children to help foster a sense of creative expression and confidence. Having grown up in Cape Town, South Africa, being instilled with the core principle of inclusiveness, I aim to make creative arts as accessible and inclusive to as many young people as possible.

We are so excited for the Sunshine Festival 2025. Our shared values and ethos make it an absolute pleasure to work alongside them. We are a friendly team and can’t wait to welcome the next generation of festival-goers to the new kids arts area.
